Girl Attempts Suicide following Sexual Harassment from Three Youth
Kundapur: A girl has allegedly attempted suicide following sexual harassment from three youth. The incident is reported in the Ambasebailu police station limits of Kundapur taluk, the victim is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Manipal. The medical condition of the victim is said to be critical.
The three accused who are identified as Prasad Hegde (30) Prashanth Hegde (28) and Vinay Shetty (29) are now absconding, police have launched a search operation to trace the accused.
The victim was attending tailoring classes in Hebri, the accused were allegedly sexually harassing the victim since 3 months. They were also harassing the victim through mobile phone calls and were forcing her to fall in love with them.
The accused on June 2 had forced the victim to accompany them to an unknown location and warned that if she failed to accompany them, she would have to face the consequences. Fearing threats from them the victim allegedly attempted suicide.
The family members of the girl rushed her to a private hospital in Manipal. The police have recorded the victim’s statement in the hospital and a case has been registered under POCSO.
ASP Vishnuvardhan in his statement said that the accused have absconded while the police are tracing their whereabouts.

Forcing her to fall in love with them? How can you force someone to fall in love? This is what happens when you make hundreds of garbage movies with silly actors and ‘love stories’. Our youth are dumb and clueless. New technology in the hands of these guys reminds me an old saying – “mangana kaiyalli maanikya”.
I hope that police catch these three geniuses and “force some love” at local police station!! LOL

Luckily, she had informed about the youth before falling sick. Irrespective of whether she recovers or fails to, I wonder what if she had succumbed without giving a clue as to why she chose to commit suicide, would they have gone on searching for another soft target ?
And, at 28, 29 and 30, how come they are free to trouble girls in this manner ? Their parents don’t find them old enough to be married ?
