Girl didn’t play game or cut her finger: school
Hubballi, (DHNS): Kendriya Vidyalaya No-1 at Rajanagar here has clarified that the girl who cut her finger under the influence of Blue Whale game did not do so.
Addressing a press meet here on Saturday, Kendriya Vidyalaya (1) principal S T Metri said the class VI student had not cut her finger as reported in the media. The girl and her parents were enquired about this.
The parents denied that their daughter had played the deadly game. It was wrong information given by her classmates to the class teacher that led to false news spreading about their daughter cutting her finger.
“We have counselled parents of our students and advised them to keep tabs on their children while they use mobile phones. We have clearly instructed parents not to allow their children to play games that will have a negative impact on their minds,” the principal said.
Speaking to DH, Ashok Nagar police station inspector Jagadish Hanchanal said the girl’s parents had told them that she had not played the game. A report in this connection would be submitted to the higher officials, he said.
