‘Give Me Yet Another Chance to Serve You’- U T Khader after Filing Nomination from Mangaluru (Ullal) constituency on Monday April 23 for Karnataka elections at Mini Vidhana Soudha-Mangaluru

Mangaluru: One thing for sure, in life you waste your precious time waiting for someone, who never show up in time as promised by them, and for that matter, especially the politicians. And being in media we are used to Minister U T Khader who seldom shows up in time for any formal function as a Chief guest or guest of honor, and today being his nomination day, he was late for that too. In guess, our beloved minister believes in the saying “Better Late than Never”- while the media was informed to be at the Mini Vidhana Soudha at 10.45 am, that’s when UT Khader was suppose to file his nomination, but ALAS, we all waited in patience as our beloved and popular minister cooly showed up in his personalized No 1 licence plate car at around 1.30 pm- and apologize for being late. Oh well-you are pardoned Dear Sir!

Alighting out of his car, Mangaluru (Ullal) constituency candidate U T Khader was escorted by Prashanth Kajawa- Mudipu Block Congress President; Santhosh Kumar Shetty- Ullal Block Congress President; Anwar Sadath- Legal Advisor; and Ishwar Ullal- KPCC Prasara Samithi President. U T Khader filed his nomination in the presence of Returning Officer of 204 Mangaluru Assembly Constituency, Mahesh Kharjagi, who handed over the necessary documents pertaining to the election, followed by an oath taking.

Exiting out of the premises, U T Khader meeting his loyal supporters and addressing them and the media said, ” I have done my duties to the best of my abilities. People have trusted me in the past and I am confident that they will do this election too. If I have made any mistakes I ask their pardon, because in life everyone makes mistakes, not just the politicians. I have always listened to the grievances of the people, and have done my extreme best to rectify most of the problems, and I promise that too in future, if I am given yet another chance to serve as your leader by electing me in the forthcoming elections. I assure you that I will do much better than I did in the past. I solicit your full support, and I thank you in anticipation”.

Among many Congress leaders who gathered at the venue to wish U T Khader the all success in the election was MLC and Congress Cheif Whip Ivan D’souza, who speaking to the media said, “No one will say that U T Khader has not done his duties and fulfilled his promises as Health Minister, and also as Minister for Food and Civil Supplies. He is a man of determination, commitment and hard-working character, and is also a go-getter who gets things done as quickly as possible. Our state government needs leaders like U T Khader, who can make a difference. So while he is contesting for yet another time in the forthcoming election, we need to extend our support, so that he could serve you with all his capacities and to the best of his abilities. I wish him all success in the forthcoming elections, and I know he will WIN?”

Before leaving the venue, U T Khader interacted with all his supporters whom had gathered in large numbers and seeking their support in the forthcoming election.
