Mangaluru: Why even bother of spending big bucks on travel expenses to go to Paris-France to see the ‘Eiffel Tower’-one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Now you don’t have to-you can take ‘Selfie’ along with ‘Eiffel Tower’ at the Dr Shivaram Karanth Pilikula Nisargadhama, near Vamnajoor in the outskirts of Mangaluru, and then boast to your friends that you had been to Paris, and tell them that your trip was just amazing and awesome?
Yes, that’s right- a replica of a 50-feet tall Eiffel Tower of Paris-France, will be an added attraction at Dr. Shivaram Karanth Pilikula Nisargadhama, which has been erected in the boat lake garden at the Nisargadhama, as part of a series of replica of monuments proposed to come up at the garden. Speaking to Team Mangalorean, Executive Director of the Nisagadhama-H.J. Bhandary said, ” Not just Eiffel Tower, other replica’s of Taj Mahal, India Gate, Kutub Minar, the Stone Chariot of Hampi, and Caves of Ellora will also be erected in the garden within the next six months. Next replica to be erected soon is the 14 ft tall ‘India Gate’. While the Eiffel Tower is built using steel and iron, other replicas would be built using fibre and Ferro cement (concrete).”
He further said, ” Adding these replicas in the park would be an added attraction to the visitors to spend more time in the garden while enjoying the lake, boating and fresh water Aquaria. The landscape would be developed around the replicas and seating arrangements would be made for the comfort and relaxation of the visitors. Having these replicas will not destroy the beauty of the garden, but will add more beauty and charm to it, that’s for sure”
