Godrej Joins the Aloysius Family! ‘Godrej Disha Centre’ Inaugurated at St Aloysisu Industrial Training Institute, Kodialbail-Mangaluru
Mangaluru : St Aloysius I.T.I was established in 1981 to ear mark the Centenary Jubilee of St Aloysius Institutions. It was founded with the vision of uplifting the poor and lower caste of the society economically by empowering them with the technical skills needed for the industries. Run by the Mangalore Jesuit Educational Society (MJES), it has been a ray of hope to the under privileged. Being a unit of St Aloysius Institutions, it is well known for the quality of training imparted by highly knowledgeable and professionally trained staff. The institution is permanently affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), New Delhi, Government of India.
Ever since its inception, St Aloysius ITI has collaborated with many renowned companies in order to train their students in the respective technical and mechanical fields- to name them : Collaboration with M/S Hyundai Motors- Under this venture, along with the regular classes, MMV students are provided training in service and repairs of Hyundai vehicles. Exams are conducted to assess the progress and on successful completion of the training, students are recruited at Hyundai dealerships; Collaboration with M/S TATA Motors: It is a separate specially designed course, under which students undergo initial phase of training at our institution and then at the latter phase (9 months), work at the TATA dealership and get hands on job experience; and Collaboration with M/s Jaquar & Co Ltd: Under this venture students of Plumber trade are trained by M/s Jaquar & Co Ltd, a leading bathroom fittings and sanitary products brand. Job assistance is provided to the students after the successful completion of training.
And presently, since Technological advancement is happening at very rapid pace thus continuous exposure and adaptation to the changing environment is inevitable, there exists a wide gap between the industry requirement and the technician’s skill level. To bridge this
gap, St Aloysius ITI has taken a right and unique approach with a collaboration venture with M/s Godrej Appliances. Under this venture, students of Mechanic Refrigeration and Air-conditioning will be imparted technical in relation to installation, repairs and servicing of Godrej home appliances.

This venture will create a mutual benefiting win-win situation to both Godrej appliances and St Aloysius ITI. Godrej joining SAITI is indeed a marvelous gift to the students, who can get trained under qualified trainers, and end up getting a good job after completion of course. Just don’t concentrate on theory, but be serious and get more knowledge on practicals, because your work lies more on your skills/practical experience. Also respect your parents and elders, because you need their blessings for your success in your career”.
