Gold Chain snatched from elderly woman at Sastan
Udupi: A 60-year-old woman was robbed of her gold chain on Wednesday, January 4 evening on the Pandeshwar Agrahar road near Sastan.
According to the complaint, the incident took place when the victim Srimathi Acharya (60) wife of Srinivas Acharya was walking along with two other women Vani and Usha from the NH 66 to Agrahar Road. Two youth around 25 years old came on a motorbike, snatched her Mangalasuthra and fled from the spot. The chain weighed four sovereigns and worth over Rs 60000.
The Kota Police have registered a case and search is on for the culprits.
