The home minister and also the district minister in-charge Basavraj Bommai held a meeting with the district police officials and district officials through video conference at the SP office”.

The home minister has gathered all the necessary details regarding the case, and as an MLA of Udupi, I had requested the home minister to conduct an enquiry from a separate investigation agency. The home minister and state police chief Praveen Sood have agreed to conduct a COD enquiry in the death case of Raksha.

The minister has instructed to form a medical board of seven-member expert doctors. As per the instruction of the minister, the district administration has formed a seven-member committee of expert doctors.

The seven committee members are Dr Chandrashekar Adiga, Dr Ajith Shetty, Dr Udayshanker, Dr Rama Rao, Dr Umesh Prabh, Dr Smitha Shenoy and Dr Nagrathna. The committee should submit the report to the government in 5 days, Bhat said.
