Group Assaults Man for Talking to Woman at Farangipet
Mangaluru: A man was assaulted by a group for talking to a woman at Farangipet here on July 29.
On July 29, at around 3:00 pm Suresh was on his way to Mangaluru from Bantwal by car. At Farangipet he saw a woman whom he knew and stopped the car to talk to her.
When Suresh was about to leave after speaking to the woman, a group of 8 to 10 youth stopped his car, used abusive language and assaulted him for talking to the woman.
The Bantwal Rural PSI and team reached the spot and rushed Suresh to the hospital after dispersing the gathered crowd.
In this connection a case has been filed in the Bantwal Rural police station under section 144, 323, 504 R/W and 149 IPC.
The police have already gathered information about the accused and are investigating the case. The woman was sent home safely with her relatives. Suresh was treated in the hospital as an outpatient.
