Gururaj Sanil rescues Male Cobra from 30-feet deep well
Udupi: Gururaj Sanil, a professional snake catcher and social worker from Udupi on March 7, reused a cobra which had fallen into a well at Kukkehalli near Doddangude in Udupi district.
According to Gururaj Sanil, a male cobra around 5.45 ft long had fallen into the open well near Kukkehalli A month ago. The family members contacted Sanil to take the cobra out of the well but he advised them to use a basket with rope to bring out the Cobra but even after trying several times they failed to get the Cobra out of the well.
Later Sanil decided to personally visit the spot to rescue the cobra. Sanil got down the well which was nearly 30 foot deep with the help of a rope and secured the snake with a hook. During the rescue operation, Sanil escaped two times being bitten by the Cobra.
After about three hours the cobra was lifted from the well and released into the forest area.
