Deputy commissioner AB Ibrahim said, “Pilikula Nisargadhama is stepping into the 21st year after completing 20 years. Guthumane was not that popular because of lack of development, thanks to the State and central government for sanctioning funds for the development of Pilikula Nisargadhama and Guthumane. We have now reached a level where we have recreated the heritage of Tulunadu. We have recreated the olden days style kitchen, share the knowledge of how to make palm jaggery, store vegetables, and rice etc. He further said that today’s children are depending on fast food and they are not interested to know about the heritage of Tulunadu. In this regard, Adapa and team have done a fantastic job, all the work they have done looks original and live. If more and more people visit Guthumane it will help us in developing the Guthumane further. Encouragement from the public and the corporate world is must to develop the Heritage house. We will promote it as a “Must see spot”. On April 17, the Tourism minister will introduce a Bus and the toll plaza will be inaugurated.
All the artistes who have worked in developing the Guthumane were felicitated by DC Ibrahim, Prof Vivek Rai, Dr Bhandary, Dr Prabhakar Sharma and others were present.
