Habitual Criminals Arrested under Goonda act

Mangaluru: “Goonda act has been imposed on two persons who have been arrested on February 10 and sent to Vijaypura Central Jail”, said police Commissioner Chandra Sekhar in a press meet held at his office here on February 11.

Addressing the media persons Police Commissioner Chandra Sekhar said, “Rohidas alias Sharan alias Sharan (32), a resident of Akashbhavan was involved in 14 notorious cases out of which 4 are murder cases, 3 assault cases, 1 attempt to murder, 1 rape case, 3 decoity attempt cases and case of illegal arms act.

Three assault cases and one threat to life case are in the court and under investigation. Rohidas has yet not come out of his habit of anti-social activities.”

He further said, “Goonda act has been imposed on Rahim alias Chappe Thanni Rahim (37) from Panambur. Rahim was selling Ganja to students in the school campuses, public places and college campus. Cases have been filed against him In the Mangaluru Town police station and Panambur Police station, he has still continued his habit of selling drugs.

Rahim was arrested on February 10 and sent him to Shivamogga District Jail.

DCP Law and order Shantharaju and DCP Crime and traffic Dr Sanjeev Patil were also present.
