Hail to the Saviour with Heart of Gold! CM Kumaraswamy Turns into a ‘Good Samaritan’ in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: He Came, He Saw, He Met and He Conquered the Hearts of many by becoming a Good Samaritan, in assuring and providing financial and other aids to all those who were waiting near the venues, where he was the chief guest at the respective programmes- like inauguration of MLC S L Bhoje Gowda’s office near Kadri, MLC B M Farooq’s office and near T M A Pai Convention Centre where Brand Mangaluru programme was arranged. But it was indeed a chaos at each venue where CM visited, including at the MLC Gowda’s office inauguration- where the CM was simply mobbed around by the security and police, which left any scope for the photographers, including Yours Truly, to capture a good photo-shoot of the CM. Being out of luck with a bunch of men surrounding the CM, instead of the good pictures of the CM, Yours Truly was lucky enough to capture the photogenic moments of the Pilis (Tigers), Security and Police Personnel, Crowd and also a CAT? People who were waiting with their grievances/memorandums at the venues of the programmes were CM was supposed to make his appearance, were greeted by the CM, and he interacted with them quickly due to his other appointments, and directed DC Sasikanth Senthil, who was escorting the CM, to take necessary steps thereby to solve their issues. Some of the applicants were asked to visit his office in Bengaluru in order to solve their problems. While many were happy with CM’s interaction and response when he met them under the shamiyana erected near Kanara Club, in front of MLC Bhoje Gowda’s new office, a couple of ladies were little upset after waiting for so long that they didn’t get the response and attention from the CM in solving their grievances. Even a man in the wheel-chair was happy and not-so-happy after meeting the CM, but he said that he would have been extremely happy if the CM had given proper assurance regarding his problem, instead he suggested me to send my memorandum to his office in Bengaluru.

This ‘Kanara Club’ Cat was also waiting to have a glimpse of CM Kumaraswamy

Interacting with Pushpa, the mother of Sushmitha, a PUC student, also a athlete who had bagged many laurels, who had met with an accident in the City recently, the CM assured her that he will direct DC of DK to look into this matter, and request him to send him the treatment expenses incurred by Sushmitha in the hospital immediately.

Another woman from Bantwal, Vijaya got full assurances from CM that he will direct the concerned authorities the required site she has asked for since her home was demolished by local gram panchayat. Many others also got assurances from CM which was directed to DC Senthil to proceed further in solving their issues.

Having taken part in four programmes in one evening of Sunday, 14 October, CM H D Kumaraswamy flew back to Bengaluru the same night, after his gracious presence inaugurating Mangaluru Dasara at Kudroli Gokarnatheshwara Temple, Mangaluru.
