The Former Congress MLA along with more than thousand supporters from Valpoi Constituency joined BJP at its Party head office in Panjim. Also present on the occasion were Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, Dy Speaker Michael Lobo, Aldona MLA Glen Ticlo, State BJP President Vinay Tendulkar, BJP General Secretary Sadanand Tanawade and other Party Leaders. Vishwajeeth said that he had joined BJP without any conditions and would strengthen the party in Sattari Taluka. He denied commenting anything on his cabinet berth into the Parrikar led Government.
Though Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar denied commenting anything on the issue as when Vishwajit Rane would be made a Cabinet Minister,
Parrikar said the announcement would be done at the right time. Sources confirmed that Junior Rane was sure to get one of the Cabinet berths which is supposed to take place after the visit of National BJP President Amit Shah
Although Parrikar led Cabinet expansion would take only after the visit of national BJP President Amit Shah in Goa, Chief Minister Parrikar said each Cabinet Minister or an MLA from the ruling
government would not be given more than one Corporation. Meanwhile, Former BJP Candidate from Valpoi Constituency Satyavijay Naik said that there were no issues as far as Vishwajit Rane entry into the BJP party was concerned.
