Haratalu, Kumar to be BJP nominees from Sagar, Sorab: BSY
Shivamogga: State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa announced on Sunday that former minister Haratalu Halappa would be the party’s candidate from the Sagar constituency, while another former minister and actor Kumar Bangarappa would be fielded from Sorab.
He was addressing reporters in the city. Yeddyurappa said Belur Gopalakrishna, another ticket aspirant for the Sagar seat, would be given a suitable position.
He said he was not aware of reports that Leader of the Opposition in the Council K S Eshwarappa was certain to get the ticket to contest from the Shivamogga city constituency. A clear decision would be taken in the next couple of weeks, Yeddyurappa said.
