Haryana MLA Premlata Hands over Rs 2.5 lakh for adoption of 5-year-old Rani
Mangaluru: The Kudremukh Iron Ore Company has adopted a 5-year-old tigress Rani from Pilikula Biological park here on January 10.
On behalf of the Kudremukh Iron Ore Rs 2.5 lakh cheque was handed over to the director of Pilikula Biological Park Jayaprakash Bhandary by the MLA of Haryana Premlata Singh, wife of the Union Minister for Steel Chaudhary Birender Singh.
After handing over the cheque Premlata Singh visited the park and commended the good job done to maintain the park.
Speaking to mangalorean.com Director of Pilikula biological park Jayaprakash Bhandary said, “There are 10 Bengal tigers here, for the maintenance of the tigers animal lovers and organizations support us financially. Today the Kudremukh Iron Ore Company has adopted 5-year-old Rani and on behalf of the company the MLA of Haryana Premlata has handed over a cheque of Rs 2.5 lakh to the Pilikula Biological park. “
