Head Constable Killed on Spot in Hit-and-run Case in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: In a tragic hit-and-run case a traffic Head Constable lost his life while on traffic duty at Devegowda Junction, Byatarayanapura Police Station limits here on March 17.
The deceased has been identified as Ravi Shankar (30), from Sontekoppa, Dasanapura Bengaluru North.
According to Byatarayanapura police, the incident occurred on March 17 at around 12:30 pm at the Devegowda Junction. Head Constable Ravi Shankar was on traffic duty at the time of the accident.
Speaking to mangalorean.com one of the police from Byatarayanapura police station said, “Policing has become risky now. Ravi Shankar was an honest police constable, he was on duty from 12 noon to 2 pm at the Devegowda Junction. Ravi Shankar was mowed down by a lorry while he was on duty. In the incident, another home guard was also injured.
A case has been registered in Byatarayanapura police station and the investigation is on.
