Health Kiosk Pre-launch Ceremony Held at Kadri By Minister Khader
Mangaluru: The pre-launching ceremony of the Health Kiosk was held near Kadri Park here on March 10.
Minister for Food and Public Distribution, U T Khader participated in the pre-launch ceremony of the Health Kiosk.
Addressing the mediapersons Minister U T Khader said, “The Health Kiosks will be officially launched in a week in nine places in the Ullal and Mangaluru city corporation limits. In the MCC limits, the Health Kiosks will be launched in Jappinamogeru, Saripalla, Kudroli, Meenakaliya and Krishnapura. In Ullal, four Health Kiosks will be started at the Thokkottu Bus stand, Olapete, Kotepura and Chembugudde.”
U T Khader further said, “The Health Kiosks will provide health services to the daily wage labourers, auto drivers, vegetable and fruit vendors and the poor and the marginalized people. There will be a lab technician and staff nurse in the kiosk to check the blood pressure, sugar and temperature. Every 15 days a doctor will visit the Kiosks for consultation.”
U T Khader also said, “Each Kiosk costs Rs 4.5 lakh and the working hours will be from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. In the near future, we will extend the timings. All the 9 kiosks are ready and we will install them in all the 9 places within a weeks time. Hope the needy people will benefit by the governments new initiative”.
Later Minister U T Khader, Mayor Bhaskar K and others checked their Blood pressure in the Health Kiosk.
