Health Minister to lay foundation for 30 bedded hospital at Suratkal – Bava

Health Minister to lay foundation for 30 bedded hospital at Suratkal – MLA Moideen Bava

Mangaluru: “The foundation stone laying ceremony for a 30 bedded hospital will be held in Suratkal during the end of April by the health minister”, said the MLA of Mangaluru North Constituency Moideen Bava in a press meet held at his chamber, MCC Premises here on March 25.

Addressing the mediapersons Moideen Bava said, “Under the New Mangaluru Port Trust and SFC grants of Rs 1 crore, the construction of the hospital will begin soon. At Hosabettu in a private building, near the national highway, the Regional transport office will be opened, the new RTO will be inaugurated during the end of April.”

He further said, “During the elections, I had assured to develop the Suratkal area which was mentioned in the manifesto. According to the manifesto, the road construction work will begin at a cost of Rs 2.75 crore. The old Suratkal market will be demolished and a new one will be constructed in the Suratkal grounds. The opposition is creating unnecessary issues and confusion in the minds of the people. We have called for tenders and the market will soon be shifted. We will construct a high-tech market with car park and bus stand at a cost of Rs 2 crore. Another market will be shifted to the old corporation office. The Bus stand will be constructed from next month and before the monsoon, we will complete the work.

Bava also said, “Many people from the opposition are trying to create confusion by opposing the development work, they have appealed to the high court through the Dharma Jyoti Sangha which is not yet registered, but the court has asked the reason for their objection. We will respond to the Sangha through the Mangaluru city corporation. From MRPL – Kaikamba Ganapathi temple a six-lane road will be constructed at a cost of Rs 65 crore. The people of Suratkal area will get a new bus stand soon.
