Heera International School organizes ‘Swachh Campus’ with CCN-NSS
Heera International School-Shakthinagar-Mangaluru organizes ‘Swachh Campus’ with City College of Nursing (CCN) National Social Service (NSS) scheme
Mangaluru: A clean India or a clean Mangaluru or a clean campus is the best tribute that could be given to Mahatma Gandhi’s memory. We have heard time and again that cleanliness is next to Godliness. Alas, things are often different when it comes to putting this into practice. Cleanliness was very close to Mahatma Gandhi’s heart. A clean India is the best tribute we can pay to Bapu when we celebrate his 150th birth anniversary in 2019. Mahatma Gandhi devoted his life so that India attains ‘Swarajya’. Now the time has come to devote ourselves towards ‘Swachchhata’ (cleanliness) of our motherland.
Keeping that in mind, students of Heera international School, along with volunteers of National Social Service scheme of City College of Nursing, organized a “Swachh Campus’ campaign, where the surroundings of the campus was cleaned by nearly 200 students of City group of Institutions along with 50 students from Heera Int’l school. At the end of the program students took resolution not to use plastic and they also decided that they will not dispose inappropriately- the program was organised by National Social Service scheme of City College of Nursing
