High Drama at Balaipade, Suspected Kidnap of girl, 3 persons and two vehicles involved
Udupi: The driver of a Ritz car fled from the spot leaving the girl when she forcibly tried to escape from the car at Balaipade, NH 66 on January 30.
On January 30, a girl in a Ritz car was screaming for help. When the car reached near Balaipade auto stand, the girl sitting in the rear seat was trying to escape opening the back door. As the nearby auto drivers saw the girl trying to escape from the car, the driver of the car smelling danger stopped the car, got down, pulled the girl out of the car and fled from the scene leaving the car.
As the auto drivers came to help the girl who had fallen on the road, a Pajero with a driver and a woman occupant reached the spot. The girl immediately got into the Pajero, which took a U-turn at the Kinnimulky national highway and sped towards Mangaluru.
Auto drivers who had witnessed the incident immediately informed the police. Udupi DySP Jayshankar and Malpe Inspector Madhu reached the spot. A technician was also called to the spot to open the Ritz car door.
The police recovered a ladies bag from the Ritz car and the investigation is on.
