Udupi: Highway patrol vehicles will effectively serve emergency and security issues said District Superintendent of Police K.T Balakrishna. He was speaking after launching 3 highway patrol vehicles commissioned for Udupi district at the district police headquarters here on January 23.

The patrol vehicles will be covering 3 beat sectors on National Highway 66. The beats recognised are Hejamadi district border to Udyavar, Udyavar to Kumbashi and Kumbashi to district border Shiroor. The vehicle will be monitored by Additional Superintendent of Police and other police stations in the jurisdiction of NH 66.
