Hindu Organizations File Cases against Jabbar for Derogatory comments against Kateel Durgaparameshwari on Social Media

Mangaluru: The members of the Hindu Jagarana Vedike submitted a memorandum to arrest the person who commented against the Hindu Dharma and Kateel Durgaparameshwari, on the social media, at the Police commissioner’s office here on August 30.

On August 29, in the name of Jabbar, derogatory comments on Kateel Durgaparameshwari Goddess and Hindu Dharma were posted on facebook and WhatsApp.

Speaking to mangalorean.com Advocate Mohandas Rai said that on August 29, on facebook and WhatsApp, derogatory comments were posted by a sick minded person, which has hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community. We have filed complaints in more than 10 police stations in the district. We have given a memorandum to the deputy commissioner Dr Jagadeesha and police commissioner Chandra Sekhar demanding the arrest of the person who made the derogatory comments on the social media and hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community.

He also said that the concerned authorities should take immediate action against the person and see that such situation should not occur again.

Convenor of HJV Pusparaj, Harish Amtady, Sharath Padavinangady, Harish Jogimath, Prasad and others were also present.

Later the members of the Karavali Samskritika Parishat, Ullal also submitted a memorandum to the police commissioner. Speaking to mangalorean.com member of KSP Satish Kumpala said, “On August 29, a youth from the Muslim Community, commented on Kateel Durgaparameshwari using derogatory words on facebook. We are all hurt by the comments, even his own community will not tolerate such Derogatory language. We believe in Kateel Durgaparameshwari and we will not tolerate anyone passing such comments against Goddess Durgaparameshwari. We have urged the Police commissioner to arrest the youth as soon as possible and take strict action against him”.

Jeevan Thokkottu, Harish, Dayanand, Dinesh Shetty, Gopinath and others were also present.

Police commissioner Chandra Sekhar assured of taking action against the person who has commented on the social media in the name of Jabbar, ” We are investigating the matter and will take necessary action”, he said .
