Hindu outfits start campaign against ‘Love Jihad’ in Udupi

Udupi: Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and Durga Vahini organised a campaign to create awareness about Love Jihad on Monday, January 22.

Addressing the gathering Vilas Nayak president of Udupi district Vishwa Hindu Parishad said, “The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrang Dal and Durga Vahini, women’s wing of the VHP is organising an awareness programme for parents of young women across the district on “love jihad”. As a call by the Regional committee, we have organised the campaign in Udupi district near MGM College. We have started a signature campaign by creating awareness about Love Jihad”.

Vilas Nayak further said, “Earlier everyone was saying that Love Jihad is a meaningless word but today the Supreme Court has accepted that Love Jihad is happing in the country. Today Asha is being converted as Ayesha, and she is supporting the ISIS. A team is actively working behind Love Jihad. Our intention is to warn our Hindu girls and mothers to be aware of the problem of love jihad and how it is an organized conspiracy to trap and convert our girls to Islam. Hindu girls are also manipulated for terrorist activities”.

Vilas Nayak also said, “This campaign includes visiting households, schools, colleges and distributing handbills across the district. This awareness programme is mainly for the parents of girls on how to take care of their daughters and monitor their movements. VHP is not against love but against the manipulation of Hindu girls in name of Love Jihad”.

Hindu Outfit leaders Sunil KR, Dinesh Putran, Rama J Rao, Suprabha Acharya, Santhosh Suvarna Bolje, Bhagyashree Aithal and others were present.
