HJV Secretary Karthik Murder Case, Three Arrested
Mangaluru: The Puttur police arrested three persons on September 5, in connection with the murder of Hindu Jagarana Vedike Secretary Karthik on September 3 midnight.
The arrested have been identified as Charan (26), his brother Kiran (36) and Prethesh (28) from Ullalbail.
On September 3, at around 11:30 pm during the Ganeshotsava celebrations Charan Raj his brother Kiran and their vehicle driver Prithesh barged into the Ganesha Pandal using foul language against Karthik. Kiran then pulled Karthik out of the pandal while Prithesh stabbed him in the chest with a sharp weapon.
Karthik was severely injured and bleeding. Karthik was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to injuries on the way.
In this connection, a case was filed in the Puttur Rural police station under section 504, 341, 302 and 34 IPC.
On September 5, all the three accused were arrested by the police.
