National youth Day Programme & Inauguration of Arpana – Distribution of clothes to needy & Shakti – Women Empowerment Programme at Ramakrishna Math on 12th & 13th January 2017
Mangaluru: National Youth day Programme: Ramakrishna Math, Mangalore is organising National youth day Programme on the occasion of 154th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on 12th January from 9.30 am to 3 pm. Dr G Parameshwara, Honorable Home Minister, Govt. of Karnataka will be inaugurating the programme. Swami Jitakamanandaji will be delivering the keynote address. J R Lobo, MLA and Manjunath Bhandary will be guests. Captain Ganesh Karnik will welcome the gathering. Inaugural sessions will be followed by sessions on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. Swami Tyagishwaranandaji, Ramakrishna Math, Halsur will be speaking on the topic, “ನನ್ನ ಭರವಸೆಯಿರುವುದು ಯುವಜನತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ -ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ”. Srikrishna Upadhya will be speaking on the topic, “ಯುವಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ.” Prof. Raghothama Rao of Bangalore will be interacting with the youth on the topic, “Power of Positive Thinking”.
Arpana – Distribution of clothes to needy: On the occasion of Birth Anniversary Celebration of Swami Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Mission will be distributing branded clothes sponsored by CSR among needy and distressed in remote villages near Puttur and Sullia. About 30 villages have been identified and 100 villagers (adults and youths) from each village will be distributed clothes by the Ashram under the guidance of monks. This project titled, Arpana will be flagged off by HM, Dr G Parameshwar on the 12th January in the Ashram. This project will go on for 15 days starting from 12th January.
Shakti’ 17 – Women Empowerment Programme: On the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary Celebration of Sister Nivedita, Ramakrishna Mission is organising Shakti – Women Empowerment Programme exclusively for girls & women. This will be based on the theme, “Contemporary Women – Issues & Challenges” Smt. Tejaswini Ananth Kumar, Managing Trustee, Adamya Chetana, Bengaluru, will be inaugurating the programme at 9.30 am. Swami Jitakamanandaji will be delivering the keynote address. This will be followed by Addresses by Smt. Tejaswini Ananth Kumar, Shobha Karandlaje, MP Vijaya Lakshmi Shibaruru of Suvarna News, Lakshmi Kumaran, GM, MRPL on various issues pertaining to contemporary Women – Issues & Challenges. Prof. Raghothama Rao will be interacting with the audience on the topic, “Enlighted Women” till 3 pm.
About 1500 delegates are expected to participate in the 2 days programme. Delegates have to register their names beforehand.
