HM Ramalinga Reddy inaugurates South Traffic Police Station
Mangaluru: The newly appointed Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy inaugurated the South Traffic Police Station at Nagori here on September 20.
Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy unveiled the plaque and lit the traditional lamp along with other dignitaries.
District Minister In-charge Ramanath Rai cut the ribbon and inaugurated the premises.
The South Traffic Police station was inaugurated in a rented house at Nagori. This is the fourth traffic police station in the Police commissionerate. This is Ramalinga Reddy’s maiden visit to Mangaluru as Home Minister.
The South Traffic Police station will have 2 Police Sub Inspectors, 8 Assistant Sub-Inspectors, 22 Head Constables and 42 Police constables. The East Police Inspector Suresh Kumar will be In-charge of the South Traffic Police station. Any road accidents in the Kankanady City, Mangaluru Rural, Ullal and Konaje limits will come under the South Police Station.
Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA J R Lobo, MLA Moideen Bava, ADGP Alok Mohan, Mayor Kavitha Sanil, IGP Western Range Hemanth Nimbalkar, Police Commissioner T R Suresh, DCP Law and Order Hanumantharaya, ADC Kumar, Deputy Mayor Rajaneesh Kapikad, ACP Uday Nayak, ACP Tilakchandra, ACP Ram Rao and others were also present.
