Holy Cow! 13 Saffron Activists Arrested for Stealing Cows from a Truck
Holy Cow! Believe it or not- all this time we have been hearing stories or reading reports where Saffron activists have been protesting or complaining about Muslims stealing cows from residents cow sheds or from their compounds- but here we have a story of a different kind where the saffron activists have stolen over two dozens of cows from a truck, which were being transported legally to a slaughter house. In this regard the Uttara Kannada police have arrested 13 persons for their act.

According to police reports, a truck carrying 28 cows was being transported by a truck – when the truck had reached near Murudeshwar near Bhatkal, a group of miscreants waylaid the truck and assaulted the driver and other occupants in the truck. Even though the driver pleaded with the miscreants not to harm them, since the cows were transported legally, and he had all the proper documents to prove it, but the activist didn’t budge to his request, instead assaulted him and others.
But the police were quick in arresting the culprits in no time- the arrested persons are, Nagaraj Nayak, Janardhan, Venkatesh, Kumar, Rama, Bhaskar, Mahesh, Manjunath, Annappa, Shabareesh, Girish, Nagaraj and Suresh. The police are still on look out for few more persons involved in this incident. The police have recovered so far 24 cows out of 28. So what happened to the four other cows? You be the judge!.
The police have booked cases against these culprits- the quick arrest of the culprits was done under the supervision of Superintendent of Police of Uttara Kannada, Vinayak Patil, and his team. Further investigation is going on.
