The video has been doing rounds on Whatsapp and has been posted even to medical groups. You could ask some doctors about it, like Dr. Kakkilaya or Dr. Sai Giridhar Kamath. The false propaganda of effectiveness of Gaumutra is:
There are some videos doing their rounds on social media about the superlative qualities of Gaumutra marketed by a leading peddler of such remedies. It states that all sorts of poisons can be countered by this concoction and shows how a solution of iodine is decolorised (and apparently made harmless) by adding a small quantity of the Gaumutra arka. The anchor also advises people that the effect of this is for quite long and that they consume gaumutra for good health!
Well, the whole thing is nothing but an oxidation reaction in which iodine gets oxidized and hence decolorised. A chemical reaction of this type has been publicized as a ‘purificatory process’ and that it could clear the body of all poisons! A counter video was made by us long back and the link is below. The very questionable part is that that the one who touts the benefits of the purificatory process does not drink the apparently ‘purified’ water which she should have done to inspire confidence! Or is the confidence lacking and the hype about the purifying property of gaumutra is just for public consumption?
