Speaking to mangalorean.com religious head of Anantha Padmanabha Temple Kudupu Sri Krishnaraj Tantri said, “Today we have gathered here to celebrate Christmas. Christmas is the festival of joy. All religions teach us to love and respect one another, if we understand the true meaning of religion we will not discriminate people of other religions. No religion teaches us to hate others. I wish all my Christian brethren a very happy and joyful Christmas and thank the organizers for inviting me to take part in the joyful celebrations.”

The Christmas season is the perfect time to share the joy and happiness with others. I wish everyone a very happy and joyful Christmas.”
In his presidential speech Fr Victor Machado said, “Christmas is one of the most significant feasts for Christians. Jesus Christ gave the message of love to the world and preached brotherhood, and that all are children of God and hence we must treat each other as brothers and sisters. Christmas is the most awaited Holy period for followers of Christ. Christmas means the celebration of God’s incredible love towards mankind. God sent his only Son to the world to spread the message of peace and love. It is sad to note that today the world is drifting away from God and spiritual values. During the Christmas season let us spread Christ’s message to the world to love one another and to maintain peace. Let the light of Christmas shine upon us and take away the darkness giving us peace and prosperity.”
