Addressing the audience in his inaugural address Fr Roshan Crasta said, “Quoting Indian Cricketer Yuvraj Singh on his retirement on 10 June, where he said, “Cricket has given me everything I have and that’s the reason I stand here today. It was such a love-hate relationship with the sport. This game taught me how to fight, how to fall, to dust myself off, to get up again and move forward. I have failed more times than I have succeeded but I never gave up and will never give up till my last breath, and that’s what cricket taught me. I gave my blood and sweat to the game, and once I got into it, especially when it came to representing my country”. Similarly is your participation in this Fest, where you will be fighting to reach the top”.
“But remember participation is more important than winning. Win or lose, you are all winners. You hard work, dedication and commitment in the events will finally bring you success. Follow the rules and don’t indulge in unwanted activities- don’t lose hope if you don’t win, because there are many more chances in future. As they say Try Try and you will succeed, therefore follow that saying. Wish you all best of luck in Riviera 2K19, and keep yourself happy and full of fun and frolic, because this is your event to celebrate and unleash your hidden talents” added Fr Crasta.
