Honour Labour: KSCC Holds Special Event for Labourers
UAE: On the occasion of International Labour Day, Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) organized an event for labourers in AL FAHAD Labour Camp, Al Qouz in association with Community Development Authority, Government of Dubai on Friday, 11 May 2018.
The event was inaugurated by Vice President of KSCC, Mohammad Ismail. Addressing the gathering, Mohammad spoke of the workers sacrifice and hard work. He also said that we should celebrate this day together as we all belong to one community. Dr Deepak from Prime Medical Centre; Tahir, camp boss and Senior Foremen Dharma were also present on the occasion.
Mohammad Faraz, the executive member of the Club, hosted the event and entertained the workers. He encouraged them to participate in various fun games, and a number of workers actively participated in the games. KSCC also gave away gifts to the participants. Some of the workers performed in front of the audience exposing their hidden talents.
The 3-hour event brought smiles lifting the spirit of the workers, which was the main aim of holding the programme. A health check-up was conducted for the workers with the support of Prime Medical Center. The programme would not have been possible without the efforts of KSCC members and volunteers.
Mohammad Faraz thanked Al Fahad Camp boss Tahir by presenting him with a gift of appreciation for all the support and cooperation. He also thanked Al Fahad Tiles and Marbles Company for their permission to execute this event in their camp, Showtec Company who arranged the sound system for the event, volunteers who helped to maintain discipline and make this event a successful one and all the members for their support. The programme concluded with dinner served to all.
