HPCC to hold Hanan Premier League tournament on Sept 12
Doha: Hanan a premier cricket club from Qatar is all set to conduct its second prestigious HPLT10 – season 2 hard tennis ball cricket tournament from 12 to 15th September at the Asian Town Cricket stadium Doha-Qatar.
A draw ceremony was held at the Golden Ocean Hotel, Doha-Qatar on September 14 evening. Abdul Khader president of HPL-T10 speaking to the gathering said that this year 12 prestigious teams from UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and India will be participating oi the season-2 tournament. After a great success of HPL-T10 season-1 and Udupi Premier League (UPL), this time, Hanan Cricket Club has come out with a total cash prize of QAR 100,000/-. The winner will get 66,000/- QAR cash prize and a trophy and the runner-up 33,000/- QAR cash prize. He also said that this year there will be ‘live digital score’ and live streaming on www.hanancricketclub.com.
Babul, Tulu koota Qatar president Ravi Shetty, Areef -Dubai, Hida Foundation chairman Abdulla Monu, Satish, Asmath Ali; past president of Tulu koota, Seetharam Shetty were present on the Dias. Hanan club president Abdul Khader, vice president Nasir Manjeshwar and committee member Shakil welcomed the guest with bouquets.
Speaking on the occasion Ravi Shetty complimented Khader and his team for their great effort to hold such tournaments which not only encourages the youth but also unites the society from different cultural backgrounds.
Areef from UAE said that, ‘It is a commendable job by Hanan team for making gully cricket into a great sportive platform where good cricketers from the poor background can get opportunities’.

Tufail Mateen compered the programme, Advisor of HPL-T10 Asmath Ali delivered the vote of thanks. Technical committee member Surendar briefed on the tournament rules and regulations. QIFF president Nazir Basha, team managers and captains were present on the occasion.
