Human Wall all my Way from Airport has Made the City Saffron – Narendra Modi

Mangaluru: The District BJP organized “Vijay Sankalp Rally” at the Nehru Maidan here on April 13. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Mangaluru and delivered a speech at the Vijay Sankalp Rally.

The rally witnessed a large number of participants with several locals donning saffron colours as a sign of support to the ruling party. The programme commenced with several invocation hymns in praise of Hindu deities.

Addressing the massive Narendra Modi said, “I have come here to this ground several times. But today I feel that there is a sea of saffron. On my way from the airport, there was no human chain but a human wall on both sides of the route. I thought that if there are so many people here, will there be anyone at the venue. I am shocked that there were people there and here as well. Whenever I come to Dakshina Kannada, I see the people here and become inspired. You have given me the strength to take small and big decisions for the nation.”

He further said, “This election is not just about who becomes the MP or the Prime Minister. It is about all of us deciding how to form a New India. We have to decide about the culture of New India. Congress and JDS are family parties but our party is the nation’s party. From their governments, corruption and injustice are born. From our government, welfare and dignity are born. Their government made corrupt businessmen and middlemen strong. Our government has joined Jan Dhan, Aadhar and Mobile to make JAM program. In Rashtrapati Bhavan, I see Adivasis with broken footwear proudly accepting Padma Shri awards. Then, the thought that comes to my mind is that this is my true India. Now, I have come from Ramanathapuram where we have built a big memorial for Abdul Kalam. Dr Radhakrishnan was the president of the country and the pride of Karnataka. Had the Indian Govt. ever built a memorial for him like this one?”

Criticizing the Congress party, Narendra Modi said, “When a museum is built to honor the victims of Jallianwala Bagh, they (Congress) feel troubled. When OROP is completed for army veterans, they feel troubled. When surgical strikes take place, they start asking for proof. When India kills terrorists by sneaking into their homes, all of the coalition parties start asking questions to the army chiefs. They have gone so low that they call the leader of the nation’s army “Gully ka Gunda”.

Next, criticizing the Cong-JDS coalition government he said, “This Chowkidar Government is giving 75,000 crores to 12,000 crore farmers. But here too, the Congress-JDS government has played politics. Karnataka’s farmers are still waiting for this amount because the state government has not given the list. They promised to waive loans of farmers but they haven’t done it. They don’t let other people do it too. That is why this Grand Alliance must be eradicated.”

BJP MP Candidates Nalin Kumar Kateel, Shobha Karandlaje, MLAs C T Ravi, Vedvyas Kamath, Sunil Kumar, Sanjeev Matandoor, Rajesh Nayak, Dr Bharath Shetty, Harish Punja, Angara, Sunil, V Sunil Kumar (Karkala), Meenakshi Shanthigodu, Raghupati Bhat and others were also present.
