Humanity is more important than Politics over Dead Body for Vote Bank – Mithun Rai

Mangaluru: “The locals opposed cremating the body of the 75-year-old woman, who died of COVID-19 on April 23. According to the law, any person who dies of COVID-19 should be cremated or buried in nearby areas. The MLA should have understood this and explained the situation to the locals at Pachanady. But without showing humanity the body of the elderly woman was not allowed to be cremated there which is a black dot for the society”, said the President of District Youth Congress Mithun Rai in a press statement issued on April 24.

In his press statement, Mithun Rai said, “The victim who had died at the COVID hospital was a Hindu woman who was one of our sisters. It is sad that her body was taken to different places for cremation and opposed by the people; it is a curse to those responsible. Before coming to power, they showed a lot of concern towards the Hindus, but soon after being elected, they forget everything. What if we were in place of her family members? It was the duty of the MLA to convince the people and make them understand.”

Mithun Rai also stated, “The district administration should not dance to the tune of such politicians. The district administration should clarify the reason for shifting the body from Magnaluru to Bantwal for cremation and take action against those who had pressurised to shifting the body.”

Have they checked how many of them had died of communicable diseases? If you are afraid now, you should be afraid all the time and should move out from there. In fact, fortunately for these people, the crematorium there has a incinerator which… Read more »

I was surprised to see so many people come out because the body would spread the virus. But would it not spread when you came out to fight and not have the body cremated there.

What sort of foolish people.

It is sad to see that these unhealthy things are happening in our District. It is our Dharma to give a decent, honorable cremation or burial to the dead body. We are created in the image and likeness of God. God’s image never be discarded and destroyed.
