Humanity is the best religion, Love every religion – Kathyayani Kunjibettu
Udupi: As preparation for the Upcoming Dharma Samsath Udupi district women workers meet was held at Vijaya Dhwaja Office here on Sunday, October 8.
Litterateur Katyayini Kunjibettu inaugurated the meet by lighting the lamp and said that People are God’s gift to Mankind, everyone has the same body and soul. Hatred leads nowhere, love and caring go a long way. Man has no right to decide which religion is the best. Everyone should love every religion equally. Neither the power nor the money will remain with him. Humanity should be the biggest religion for each and everyone. No religion is greater than humanity. Religion should not be a hurdle in treating others with love. As brotherhood is greater than any religion, one should develop respect towards other religions.
The Indian concept of secularism refers to giving due respect and honour to all religions and it even gives the freedom not to believe in any particular religion. India is known for its rich culture and tradition of mutual respect in a society having different religions and for the social unity among people of different faiths. All Religions have good and bad, we should learn to take good things from every religion. We should respect the values of all religions and support a corruption-free society. Let Dharma Samsath unite all Hindus, she added.
VHP joint secretary Krishnamoorthy delivered the keynote address. VHP district president Vilas Nayak presided over the meeting. BD regional Convener Sharan Pumpwell, Sunil K R, Santhosh Suvarna, Rama J Rao, Padma Ranthnakar and others were present.
