‘I am Gauri’ NWF Stages Protest Demanding Arrest of Gauri Lankesh Killers
Mangaluru: The National Women’s Front (NWF) staged a protest demanding the arrest of the killers of Gauri Lankesh in front of the DC office here on September 13.
Addressing the protesters, Writer Jyothi Guruprasad said, “Gauri Lankesh was not only a journalist but she was the voice of the society. She was a social activist and a progressive thinker. The society will not accept her murder. If there are any differences or misunderstanding they should be solved through discussions. One should not kill to silence anyone’s voice. Those who have killed Gauri Lankesh, have done a cowardly act. We want the accused in Gauri Lankesh murder arrested soon and severely punished.”
Member of the National NWF Shahida Aslam, Zeenath, Yashodha, Maimuna, Fathima Naseema, Mehnaz, and others were also present.
The hypocrisy of this group pretending to be champions of ‘progressive’ thinking while covering face according strict code of sharia is quite rich! What is progressive about hiding your identity? Oh well, people are not fools – we see the politics behind all these ‘protests’.
These group possible have connection with the killer. Please find the killer we will arrest.
Are these women who are protesting ready to speak against their own religion as Gauri Lankesh did ?
The language used by Gauri Lankesh was filthy- are these women ready to use same filthy language!!
