‘I am interested to contest from Kundapur Assembly constituency’ – Rakesh Malli
Kundapur: Udupi district Congress president Janardhan Tonse called upon the Congress party INTUC workers to work at the grass-root level and understand the pulse of people to strengthen the party for the upcoming elections in Kundpaur constituency.
He was speaking at the INTUC conference in regard to the Kundapur Assembly constituency at the R N Shetty Hall, Kundapur here on Saturday, December 9.
Addressing the mediapersons Janardhan Tonse said, “The INTUC members should bring the problems of the people to the notice of people’s representatives and get them addressed. Party workers should create awareness about the benefits extended by the government among the people to strengthen the party. Chief minister Siddaramaiah has concern for the labourers, poor and the downtrodden. The government led by Siddaramaiah has fulfilled 95% of the promises made by the party before the 2013 Assembly elections. The Union government led by Narendra Modi has fulfilled only 25% of the total promises made during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. The Congress government has been doing a good job in the state. INTUC members should work hard to win the Kundapur Constituency in the next Assembly elections with a huge majority”.
INTUC state president Rakesh Malli in his welcome address said, “I am interested to contest from the Kundapur Assembly Constituency. I wish to be elected from here. But selecting the candidates to contest the elections is left to the high command”. He urged the local leaders to recommend his name as the Candidate.
