Mangaluru: The Akhil Bharat Hindu Maha Sabha held a press meet at Hotel Janatha Delux,Ballal Bagh here on April 6.
Addressing the media persons state president of ABHMS Subramanya Raju said that earlier we had a campaign “Eliminate Terrorism to Save country” (Atankavada Alisi Desha Ulisi), and brought awareness to the people and now we are into the second round of the campaign because terrorism is spread like wildfire and we need to put an end to it. The Coastal areas of Karnataka and Kerala have become bases of terrorism. There were a number of murders in the district. In Bhatkal BJP leader Chittaranjan was killed by terrorists and police have failed to arrest the culprits until now. In Mysuru BJP activist Raju was killed, in Shivamogga Gokul was murdered, Kalburgi was killed, in Moodbidri Prashanth Poojary was murdered and all the victims were Hindu activists. But the police have failed to arrest the culprits which raise the question of the failure of the administration and the police.
In Kerala PDP (People’s Democratic Party) is very active and Madani was arrested and sent to Parappana agrahara jail but the Kerala CM Omen Chandi requested the Karnataka CM to release Madani because of his ill health. When Hindu activists are arrested, no one comes forward to release them but when a Muslim is arrested, politicians intervene for their release.
He further said that the Lokayukta was very active in Karnataka and was working promptly to eliminate corruption but the chief minister has created the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to weaken the Lokayukta. We want the state government to continue the Lokayukta by appointing officers like Justice Santhosh Hegde because when he was the Lokayukta chief, many politicians went to jail. We want the CM to withdraw the Anti-Corruption Bureau and continue the Lokayukta to eliminate corruption.
He further said that in Karnataka PUC students are suffering due to the question paper leak, it is an utter failure of the government. In this regard the Primary and Secondary Education Minister Kimmane Ratnakar has not taken any steps instead he said that he will resign if the II PU Chemistry question paper is leaked again, which the ABHMS strongly condemns.
He also said, “In Kalasipalya police station we have filed a complaint against Kanhaiya Kumar on March 27 to arrest him. We will also file a case in the high court if the police will not take any action against Kanhaiya Kumar”, he said.
When asked about why Vinayaka Baliga’s name was not mentioned while recalling the murder of Hindu activists in and around Mangaluru, Subramanya said, “I am not aware about Baliga’s murder”.
General Secretary of ABHMS Vishwas Magan, Vice President of ABHMS Ganesh Bhandarkar,Yuva Morcha leader Manjunath and Rajesh Pavitran were also present.
