‘I Don’t Believe Poojary Ever Praising Modi’ – Khader
Mangaluru: “I don’t believe Poojary praising Modi since he is our senior leader and I have high regards for him. If the BJP is promoting Poojary’s statement, I think Poojary by mistake said Modi instead of saying, Rahul. Poojary himself has time and again reminded us what kind of person Modi is. I don’t believe that Poojary will ever praise Modi”, said the District Minister In-charge U T Khader in a press meet held at the District Congress Office Mallikatta here on March 17.
Responding to the questions asked by a Journalist Khader said, “If the BJP is making Janardhan Poojary’s statement viral let them sacrifice and unanimously elect Janardhan Poojary in the Lok Sabha elections in Dakshina Kannada. When we stepped into politics, we remember Poojary telling us about Modi and his way of ruling. When Poojary contested in the last LS polls, BJP workers insulted him the most, they used cheap language and criticized Poojary. Now if they have real concern for Poojary let them not field their candidate in the LS polls but give Poojary the chance to contest and win the elections”.
Khader further said, “In 5 years of Modi’s tenure as PM he did not fulfill any of the promises he had made during the last LS polls. He has only fooled the people saying that he will create 2 crore jobs every year. His unscientific demonetization has killed more than 150 innocent people. In just one of his policy 150 innocent people had to sacrifice their lives. In the Rafale Deal, we requested him to form a Joint Parliamentary Committee but so far nothing has been done. The shocking part is that the government informed the Supreme Court that the documents related to Rafale deal are stolen from the defense ministry which is a shame for our country”.
When asked whether his brother Iftikhar will contest from Kasargod, Khader said, “Contesting in the Lok Sabha elections is not a game. I have no idea about my brother contesting the Lok Sabha elections. I came to know about it only through the media, he did not tell anything about it nor have we discussed the matter.”
MLC Ivan D’Souza, Kanachur Monu and others were also present.
