I have no role in Suspension of Constable Prakash – Pramod Madhwaraj
Udupi: Law is taking its own course in the investigation on the suspension on police constable Prakash said Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Minister in-charge District Pramod Madhwaraj.
He was speaking to media persons during his visit to Hotel Kediyoor on April 15.
I have played no role in suspending police constable Prakash or then revoking his suspension order. During the course of the investigation, he was suspended. Being a Minister, I can urge the Superintendent of Police to initiate an investigation, while the suspension or revoking the suspension order is left to the police department, he added.
Prakash a police constable was suspended following an assault on Kumar (an employee of Raj Fish Mill owned by Pramod Madhwaraj) who is said to have eve-teased the police constable’s wife. Following the assault, Prakash was suspended and the opposition had leveled allegations saying Pramod Madhwaraj had suspended Prakash, he added.
