‘I met Oscar Fernandes in New Delhi not BJP leaders’ – Pramod Madhwaraj
Udupi: “I went to New Delhi to inquire the health condition of Senior Congress leader Oscar Fernandes who was admitted to the hospital recently and never met any BJP national leaders as some of the media had reported which is far from the truth,” said Udupi district minister in-charge Pramod Madhwaraj.
Speaking to media persons in Udupi on March 29, Pramod said that he had made it clear several times and was again making it clear that he was not quitting the Congress Party. “I am not cheating my congress party anytime and anywhere. The party has given everything. I will not cheat my party workers who are working day and night for me. I don’t care whoever is the opposition candidate against me in the assembly elections. I will win the elections with a record margin in the state.”
When asked about former MLA Raghupathi Bhat’s allegation that he had assured the BJP of joining shortly. Pramod Clarified saying, “I have never assured any BJP leaders that I am joining BJP these are all false rumours by the BJP people”.
“Nobody can stop Congress President Rahul Gandhi from becoming the Prime Minister in 2019. I am confident that under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi we will come to power in Karnataka with thumping majority. It will be a big pull and stepping stone for the upcoming elections, he said.
