IAS officer dumped? Until the new president and vice president took over the reins of the Udupi city municipal council on March 29, 2016, deputy commissioner Dr Vishal IAS held the charge as the administrator. As soon as the election took place, his name-plate was seen thrown into the dustbin of the CMC office later on the day. Is this the respect the CMC administration / staff show to the DC, an IAS officer, who is also the ex-officio district magistrate? Use-and-throw culture here too?
