Mangaluru: A felicitation programme was held to honour Dr AJ Shetty on being conferred Honourary Doctorate by the Mangalore University at Hotel Kudla here, on April 5.
The programme was organised by International Bunts Welfare Trust (IBWT). Gurkar of IBWT, Sadananda Shetty welcomed the gathering and said, “What AJ Shetty touches, turns into gold. The doctorate conferred on AJ Shetty was well deserved.” Purushotham Bhandary Adyar introduced AJ Shetty to the gathering.
Secretary of IBWT, Rajgopal Rai introduced IBWT to all. Speaking on this occasion, Bhaskar Rai said, “Securing a doctorate for studies is a great achievement, but an honorary doctorate is on a different level altogether.” He applauded AJ Shetty’s work in the field of entrepreneurship, social service and education.
Dr Vinay Hegde said, “AJ Shetty has given selfless service to the people of this region and all should look up to him as a source of inspiration.”
District Minister In-charge, Ramanath Rai said, “AJ Shetty is a household name who has done his bit in the social and religious arena. He is a hard worker, never shy away from responsibility and is ready to take up any challenge in his life.”
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said, “AJ Shetty is a man who is ready for service. He is a pioneer in medical institutions. He is quite humble and always encourages everyone to scale heights.”
AJ Shetty was felicitated by all the dignitaries. Speaking on this occasion, A J Shetty expressed his pleasure at being honoured.
