ICYM Bantwal unit Celebrated ‘Christmas Sambram 2018’
Bantwal: ICYM Youth of Bantwal on occasion of Christmas organised an event on the Christmas Eve namely ‘Christmas Sambram 2018’ along with cultural committee of the parish. Parish Priest Fr. Walter D’mello, Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Ashwin Crasta, Vice president of parish pastoral council Sandeep Menezes and Secretary Richard Dsouza, Ronald Carlo, President, Cultural committee and Secretary Diana D’souza, ICYM Animator Sunil Lewis, President Avinash D’souza and Secretary Annet Dsouza along with the chief guest and Santa Claus were the dignitaries on the dais.
The programme began with a prayer song led by the Choir members. Sandeep Menezes welcomed the gathering. The chief guest of the day was Ms Wilma Bantwal, a well-known poet and writer was felicitated on the occasion. The Parish priest addressed the parishioners and asked them to celebrate this festive season as a family. Various prizes for different events conducted on the occasion of Christmas were then distributed.
Diana D’souza proposed the vote of thanks. Later on cultural programmes were performed by ICYM, YCS, altar servers, Marian sodality and others. Thus the Christmas Eve turned out to be a joyous and merry one.

Christmas Crib and Star by ICYM Bantwal unit
To commemorate the feast of birth of Jesus Christ with grandeur, an exclusive crib and a mighty star was prepared and exhibited by the ICYM unit of Infant Jesus Church, Bantwal on the church grounds.
It took more than a fortnight to put up this beautiful crib and star. The youth namely James, Robin, Marvin, Denzil and Avinash worked tirelessly for this. The work was guided by Mr. Edwin Dcunha, a parishioner. The hardwork of these youth was being paid off with the appreciation all the parishioners and the visitors who viewed the crib and the star.
