ICYM Episcopal City Deanery Celebrated ‘Yaaron Ka Diwas-2017’ Friendship Day
Mangaluru: ICYM Episcopal City Deanery in collaboration with ICYM Thannirbavi Unit organized Friendship Day Celebration with the theme “YAARON KA DIWAS – 2017” on 3rd September 2017 from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Thannirbavi Tree Park.
The programme commenced at 4:00 pm with a prayer led by the members of ICYM Thannirbavi Unit along with Fr Alban Rodrigues, Parish Priest, Our Lady of Fatima Church, Thannirbavi. Ashok Denzil D’Souza, President, ICYM Thannirbavi Unit welcomed the gathering. Sweeny Maria D’Souza, Joint Secretary, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery gave an introduction on Friendship Day. The programme was inaugurated by Fr Alban Rodrigues by cutting the Friendship Day Cake along with ICYM Episcopal City Deanery Executive Members, Unit Presidents and Secretaries as a mark of sharing love, happiness and as a sign of creating a bond between ICYM ECD Members. Even Birthday Buddies of September Month Astron Menezes, Bejai and Jackson Fernandes, Milagres celebrated their birthday by cutting the birthday cake as well sharing their joy and happiness as a mark of their Birthday Celebration in the month of September.
Fr Alban Rodrigues delivered the key note address on the importance of Friendship as well on Friendship Day. Rorthan Agnel Coelho, Secretary, ICYM Thannirbavi Unit along with Ashwitha Coelho, ECD Representative, ICYM Thannirbavi Unit conducted the Ice Breaker Session and Games. Aeren Lobo and Ronald Fernandes, Former Presidents of ICYM Episcopal City Deanery were also present on the occasion.
Amazing games and refreshments increased the joy of the celebration.
Rolston Peris, Milagres, Vice President, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery delivered the Vote of Thanks. Fr Roshan D’Cunha, Deanery Director, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery thanked all the Members of ICYM Episcopal City Deanery for their active participation in the programme and for making this unique event a memorable and successful one. Frenton Irol D’Souza, Cascia, President, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery compered the programme.
On the whole, “YAARON KA DIWAS – 2017” was a fun filled event where making new friends along with various games and entertainment as well a memorable evening for all the youth of ICYM Episcopal City Deanery and a day to remember.
