ICYM Madanthyar Unit Celebrates Green Day – 2018
ICYM Madanthyar Unit celebrated Green Day – 2018 at the Sacred Heart Church Premises, Madanthyar on Sunday, 22nd July 2018. Fr Alwin Dsouza – Assistant Parish Priest, Sacred Heart Church and Assistant Director – ICYM Madanthyar Unit, Fr. Jerome Dsouza – Principal, Sacred Heart PU College, Madanthyar, Vice President and Secretary – Parish Pastoral Council, President and Secretary – ICYM Madanthyar Unit were present on the dais.
The programme was inaugurated by releasing of handbags madeout of cloth. ”A message on eco-friendly practices and to reduce usage of Plastic bags” was delivered by Fr Jerome D’Souza.
Soon after the inaugral programme, Saplings were planted around the church premises by the youth and the parishioners with respect to their wards. The monsoon food ‘patrade’, ‘valchebaji mutlim’, ‘patholi’ was prepared by the youth which increased the attraction of the programme. The cloth handbags were distributed to each family. About 50 youth were present for this programme. Tyson D’Cunha compered the programme.
ICYM Cascia Unit holds ‘Ujya Vine Khel Randpaso Mel – 2018’
Mangaluru: ICYM Cascia Unit organised Ujya Vine Khel Randpaso Mel ( Cooking without Fire ) Competition on Sunday, 22nd July 2018 in St. Rita Church Hall, Cascia at 4:00 PM.
Vishma D’cunha welcomed the gathering. A total of 8 teams participated in this event. Brayan Mascarenhas (Owner – Brayans Cake House ) and Francis D’Souza were the judges. Sushma D’Souza delivered the vote of thanks.
ICYM Borimar Unit celebrates Vanamahotsava-2018
ICYM Borimar Unit celebrated Vanamahotsava and the Distribution of saplings at the St Joseph Church Premises, Borimar at 9:30 am on Sunday, 22nd July 2018.
Fr Gregory Pereira – Parish Priest, St Joseph Church, Borimar, Roshan Martis – Vice – President and Preethi Pereira – Secretary, Parish Pastoral Council, ICYM Unit President – Anil John Sequeira, ICYM Unit Secretary – Reena Pinto were present as the guests for the programme.
The programme was inaugurated by Fr Gregory Pereira. He addressed the gathering on the importance of Vanamahotsava. 300 plants were distributed to all the families of the church with a feeling of oneness and to build a good society.
