ICYM Modankap Unit Holds ‘YUVAMILAN – 2018’

Bantwal: With great zeal and enthusiasm, ICYM Modankap Unit in collaboration with the Development Committee, Cultural and Youth Welfare Committee organized Yuvamilan 2018 on Sunday, 29th July 2018. The youth of Modankap Unit got together under one roof at Anugraha Church Hall, Modankap.

The programme commenced with a Prayer song and Welcome dance led by YCS members. Fr Ashwin Crasta, Assistant Parish Priest inaugurated the event by lighting the candle in the presence of other dignitaries. Sr Supriya – Superior, Carmel Convent, Sandeep Menezes – Vice – President and Richard D’Souza, Secretary – Parish Pastoral Council, Sunil Lewis – ICYM Animator and Mr. Ronald Carlo – President, Cultural and Youth Welfare Committee, Mr. Victor Menezes – President, Development Committee, Avinash D’Souza – ICYM President, Annet Carol D’Souza – ICYM Secretary were the guests of honour on the dais.

Fr Ashwin Crasta conducted the icebreaker session and effective sessions on ‘Self Employment was conducted by Lesly Rego and session on “Facilities available for the minorities to incorporate self-employment” was conducted by Kamaal.

Godwin Noronha and Richard D’Souza renowned self-employed members of the town gave testimony of their success in the concerned sector of business. Royce Barretto conducted task-oriented games to the youth to increase their creative thinking.

The afternoon session was a fun-filled session were various interesting group games were conducted, in which the youth actively participated. “Yuvamilan 2018” concluded with the feedback session that was conducted by Sir Sunil Lewis – ICYM Animator in presence of Parish Priest Fr Maxim Noronha.

Elvisha – YCS member thanked each and everyone for making this event a grand success. Dale D’Silva compered the formal programme and Anisha Frank conducted the games and group activities. Around 120 youth were present. On the whole, Yuvamilan 2018 was a combination of fun, knowledge and entertainment. A funfilled day for all the youth of Modankap Unit and a day to remember.
