ICYM Naravi Unit Holds ‘Vanamahotsava – 2K18’
Moodibidri: ICYM Naravi Unit organized Vanamahotsava – 2K18 at St Antony Church, Naravion here on July 15.
Forest Officer Ajith was the Chief Guest for the programme. Fr Simon D’Souza – Parish Priest, St Antony Church, Naravi presided over the programme along with Fr Arun Wilson Lobo – Assistant Director – ICYM Naravi Unit, Vincent Rodrigues – Vice – President, Rita Pinto – Secretary, Parish Pastoral Council and Sanjay Miranda – Animator, ICYM Naravi Unit were present as the dignitaries of the programme.
Rohan Pereira, Unit President welcomed the gathering. Ajith inaugurated the programme by handing over the saplings to Vincent Rodrigues along with 9 ward gurkars and addressed the gathering on the importance of Greenery.
Fr Simon D’Souza appreciated the youth for organizing Vanamahotsava in the parish and encouraged the youth and the parishioners to plant many saplings in the required areas.
Jovel Fernandes delivered the vote of thanks and also compered the programme. At the end, Saplings were distributed to all the parishioners.
ICYM Valencia Unit celebrates Vanamahotsava – 2K18
Mangaluru: ICYM Valencia Unit celebrated “Vanamahotsava – 2K18” on Sunday, July 15th, 2018 at 9:00 am in St. Vincent Ferrar Church, Valencia. This programme was a support to the initiative taken by ICYM Central Council, Mangalore Diocese with the theme “Grow Green – Each One Plant One”.
Fr James DSouza – Parish Priest, St Vincent Ferrar Church, Valencia presided over the programme along with Fr Joswin DSouza – Assistant Parish Priest, Fr Arun Lobo – Resident Priest, Anil Lobo – Vice – President and Lizzie Pinto – Secretary, Parish Pastoral Council, ICYM Unit Members and all the parishioners were present for the programme.
ICYM Valencia Unit President Relston Lobo welcomed the gathering. Fr James D’Souza addressed the gathering on the importance of growing trees and the steps that could be taken to nurture the plants and trees of our surroundings.
ICYM Valencia Unit Former Secretary Jovita Rebello delivered the Vote of thanks. After the short formal programme, ICYM members, priests and the parishioners proceeded towards the church cemetery and planted 30 saplings.
ICYM Badyar Unit celebrates ‘VANAMAHOTSAVA – 2K18’
ICYM Badyar Unit celebrated “Vanamahotsava – 2K18” on Sunday, July 15th 2018 at 09:30 am in St. Raphael Church, Badyar.
Arvin Goveas – Unit President welcomed the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by Fr Melwyn D’Souza by planting a sapling at the church premises along with Raphael Veigas – Vice – President and Gretta D’costa – Secretary, Parish Pastoral Council, Sr. Premlatha – Hospital Administrator, Meer Manish Sequeira – Auditor, ICYM – Central Council, Mangalore Diocese.
ICYM Unit Members and all the parishioners took part in this programme. Joel D’Souza – Secretary delivered the vote of thanks and Kevin D’Souza compered the programme. At the end, Saplings were distributed to all the parishioners.
