ICYM Perampalli holds Youth Convention ‘PARZAL – 2018’
Udupi: The ICYM youth of Perampalli unit organised a unit level programme ‘PARZAL – 2018’ on July 29, to unite all youth of Our Lady of Fathima church, Perampalli. A total of 72 youth attended the Programme.
Parish priest Fr Anil D’Souza along with Udupi diocese president Dion D’Souza, Udupi ICYM Deanery Secretary Fiona, Perampalli parish president and Secretary Denis Furtado and Rosy Pinto, Perampalli Unit ICYM president Benson D’Souza inaugurated the programme.
In his message, Dion D’Souza encouraged the youth to become leaders and follow the ethics of our culture.
Speaking on the occasion Fr Anil D’Souza motivated the youth to have trust in themselves and make the best use of every opportunity.
Unit president Benson D’Souza welcomed the gathering, Unit Vice President Danson D’Souza delivered the vote of thanks. Unit secretary Melona D’Souza compered the programme.
Soon after the inaugural ceremony a session on the topic ‘Role of youth in the society, family and Church’ was conducted by Leslie Aroza.
Later on, fun activities and games were conducted by Dr Manoj Maxim D’lima during which the youth showcased their talents.
Following the activities, 12 youth from the gathering shared their positive experiences attending the programme.
Both the resource persons were gifted with a plant as a token of love.
Laveena D’Souza was given a deserving send-off as she was departing from ICYM after her 6 years of service.
