ICYM unit St Anne Church, Kelarai observes Vanamahotsava day

Mangaluru: St Anne Church, Kelarai, ICYM unit which is affiliated to Indian Catholic Youth Movement Mangalore diocese observed the Vanamahotsava day on Sunday, 9 July 2017.
The programme commenced after the Sunday mass at 8:30 Am. The programme was held at the St Anne school ground. Parish Priest Fr Joachim Fernandes, was the esteemed chief guest, along with pastoral council President Herald Monteiro, secretary Lucy Rodrigues and ICYM animator Edwin Vas.
The event began with a short welcome by Sherlyn Pereira, the Liturgy and cultural secretary of ICYM, who later explained the importance of planting trees, which was followed by the prayer lead by ICYM members.
ICYM President Floid Noronha delivered the vote of thanks. ICYM youth handed over the saplings to the parish priest and guests, which were then planted in the school premises.
